£16,710 Raised for Royal British Legion

We are delighted to have raised over £16,000 in aid of the Royal British Legion in November 2018. On Sunday 11th November we held the Hampshire Festival of Remembrance at Southampton’s prestigious Mayflower Theatre. The performance took place exactly 100 years to the day since the end of World War One.

Created and produced by Showcase Founder Alex in collaboration with Clare Peppiatt from the Royal British Legion over 300 local performers came together to perform an evening of memorable and poignant music to a sold out auditorium.

Hosted by Matt Le Tissier the evening was a remarkable success and we are so proud that over 100 of our young musicians and singers were part of the proceedings.

To find out more about the evening you can see the photos from our special evening here; you can also explore these two articles from the Daily Echo (Article 1 , Article 2)

Here is another newspaper clipping taken from the show:

Performances included contributions from Stagecoach Fareham, Southampton Choral Society, Southampton Philharmonic Choir, Showcase Young Voices Choirs, Mayflower Musical Youth Theatre, Casey Watson, Jeremy Edwards, Barbara Howells, Lucy Hallett, Mehreen Shah - all accompanied by the Showcase Young Players & Philharmagic Orchestras - all volunteering their time towards this wonderful cause.

Were you there? What was your best memory?
